The GCS type low‑voltage withdrawable switchgear is suitable for power plants, petroleum, chemical industry, metallurgy, textile, high‑rise buildings, etc. The power distribution systems in industries such as large power plants and petrochemical systems, which have a high degree of automation and require interfaces with computers. The site, with a three‑phase AC frequency of 50(60)Hz, a rated working voltage of 400V and 660V, and a rated current of 5000A and below, low‑voltage complete power distribution equipment used in power distribution, centralized control of motors, and reactive power compensation in power generation and supply systems.

Usage environmental conditions

◆The ambient air temperature shall not exceed +40°C and shall not be lower than -5°C for 24 hours. The average temperature inside must not exceed +35°C. When over, it depends on the actual situation derating operation.

◆For indoor use only. The altitude of the usage site must not exceed 2000 meters.

◆The relative humidity of the surrounding air shall not exceed 50% when the maximum temperature is +40°C. A higher relative humidity is allowed at lower temperatures, such as at +20°C 90%. Condensation that may occur occasionally due to temperature changes shall be taken into account.

◆The inclination of the device during installation to the vertical plane shall not exceed 5°, and the entire set of cabinets shall be relatively flat (conforming to the GBJ232‑82 standard).

◆The device should be installed in a place free from severe vibration and impact that may cause electrical components malfunction; no place subject to undue corrosion.

◆When users have special requirements, they can negotiate and solve them with the manufacturer.

 

 

Technical parameters

 

◆Main circuit scheme The main circuit scheme of the GCS cabinet consists of 32 groups and 118 specifications, excluding the schemes and specifications derived from the changes in the control and protection of the auxiliary circuits. It includes power generation, power supply and consumption, and others. For the needs of power users, the rated working current is 5000 A, and it is suitable for the selection of distribution transformers with a capacity of 2500 kVA and below. In addition, a capacitor compensation cabinet was designed to meet the needs of improving the power factor in power supply and consumption, and a reactor cabinet was designed considering the needs of comprehensive investment.

◆Auxiliary circuit scheme The GCS auxiliary circuit atlas contains 120 auxiliary circuit schemes and is divided into two volumes, upper and lower. The first volume, "AC Operation Section", is divided into 63 schemes, while the second volume, "DC Operation Section", has a total of 57 schemes. The auxiliary circuit scheme for the DC operation section is mainly used in the low‑voltage plant (station) systems of power plants and substations. It is applicable to the general control methods of low‑voltage plant systems for units with a capacity of 200MW and below and 300MW and above, including working (backup) power supply incoming lines, power supply feeders and motor feeders.

The auxiliary scheme for the AC operation section is mainly used in the low‑voltage systems of substations in factories, mines, enterprises and high‑rise buildings. There are six combination schemes suitable for dual power supply operation control. It is also equipped with control circuits such as operation electrical interlock backup white switch and self‑reset, which can be directly adopted in engineering design.

The DC control power supply is 220V or 110V, and the AC control power supply is 380V or 220V. It is a complete set of cabinets composed of drawer units. The 220V control power supply is drawn from the public control power supply provided by the dedicated control transformer inside this cabinet. The public control power supply adopts an ungrounded control transformer, and a 24V power supply is reserved for use when weak current signal lights are needed. The installation location of the electricity meter, the method of introducing voltage signals, and other installation and usage requirements are detailed in the "Compilation Instructions" of the auxiliary circuit diagram.

◆Main busbar a. To enhance the dynamic thermal stability of the busbar and improve the temperature rise of the contact surface, all the equipment adopts TM Y‑T2 series hard copper bars. The copper bars are tin‑plated throughout the length, and silver‑plated copper busbars can also be selected throughout the length. b. The horizontal busbar and vertical busbar are respectively installed in the busbar isolation room inside the cabinet. c. The neutral grounding busbar adopts a hard copper bar. Through the horizontal neutral grounding wire (PEN) or grounding + neutral wire (PE+N).

◆Selection of electrical components The GCS cabinet mainly selects electrical components with advanced technology, stable performance and high index values, and adopts imported technology that can be mass‑produced domestically.

a. Main switch For power supply incoming line and feeder switches of 630A and above, the DW45 series is mainly selected. The DW48 series, AE series, 3WE or ME series can also be chosen. When deemed necessary, the imported M series or F series can also be selected.

b. For feeder and motor control switches with a capacity of 630A or less, the TG series, CM1 series, NM series, CDM series, TG30 series and other molded case switches are mainly selected.

f. To enhance the dynamic stability of the main circuit, the GCS series of dedicated combined busbar clamps and insulating supports have been designed. They are made of high‑strength, flame‑retardant synthetic materials through thermoplastic molding, featuring high insulation strength, good self‑extinguishing performance and a unique structure.

g.To reduce the temperature rise of the partition boards, connectors and cable heads of the functional units, a special adapter for GCS cabinets was designed. The adapter has a large capacity and the temperature rise is reduced.

h.When the design department selects new electrical components with better performance and more advanced technology based on the user's needs, due to the good universality of the GCS series cabinets, there will be no difficulties in manufacturing and installation caused by the update of electrical components.
